The Tampa Bay Lightning will be unveiling a new digital video wall in the recently launched Bolts Social Central, a location for Lightning fans to interact digitally and socially, outside section 128 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Thursday, February 21 prior to their home game against the Boston Bruins.
The new video wall at Bolts Social Central will aggregate fans’ social media posts on Twitter and Instagram into a single display for all Lightning fans to view their posts. Fans that check in to the Times Forum on Facebook will also have their Facebook profile pictures displayed on the wall.
In addition to the new video board being launched in Bolts Social Central, the Lightning have partnered with Thuzi to create a digital photo booth opportunity located there where fans can upload photos of themselves in a penalty box setting. Former NHL All-Star and Lightning great Brian Bradley will be on-hand for fans to take pictures with inside of the photo booth from 6:30-7 p.m. on Thursday. Fans who register on Thunder Alley prior to doors opening for the game can enter 15 minutes before the general public to come get their pictures taken inside the photo booth.
Sun Sports will also be hosting their Social Media night throughout the Lightning/Bruins telecast; giving fans a chance to interact with personalities during the game. Fans watching the game on Sun Sports will have the opportunity to submit questions to Paul Kennedy and Chris Dingman to be answered on air using hashtags and tweeting at them directly.
Bolts Social Central was launched last week and will give Lightning fans attending home games a unique opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow fans to discuss the team on several social platforms. Throughout the remainder of the 2012-13 regular season, members of the Lightning’s digital team will conduct exciting promotions to engage with Bolts fans socially and digitally.
