20th Anniversary Review of Lightning Logos
The Bolts’ original logo, originally etched in a collaborative effort by team founder Phil Esposito, and colleagues Mel Lowell and Henry Paul, featured a silver lightning bolt backed by a blue background reminiscent of the area’s waters. The team donned this crest from 1992-93 until the conclusion of the 2006-07 season, a period that also included the night of June 7, 2004 when the Bolts hoisted the first-ever Stanley Cup in franchise history.
