LIGHTNING OFFERING FREE TICKET TO ANY PRESEASON GAME FOR MINIMUM SUGGESTED DONATION OF $20 TO HURRICANE RELIEF
The 2004 Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning will provide a free ticket to any of the team's three preseason games at the St. Pete Times Forum for a minimum suggested donation of $20 to the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. All money collected will go directly to Hurricane Katrina relief charities. The Lightning play host to the Florida Panthers (Saturday, 9/24, 7:30 p.m.), Buffalo Sabres (Sunday, 9/25, 5 p.m.) and Carolina Hurricanes (Friday, 9/30, 7:30 p.m.) during the 2005 preseason. Approximately 5,000 tickets are available for each game.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, all remaining tickets for the three games are available at Ticketmaster.com and the McDonald's Box Office at the St. Pete Times Forum for a minimum suggested donation of $20. Ticketmaster has waived all fees for purchases on Ticketmaster.com, and tickets purchased through Ticketmaster.com will be available for pickup at will call in the McDonald's Box Office.
It is expected that the generous Tampa Bay community will embrace this chance to help and these games will sell out, so anyone wishing to make a donation and receive a ticket is encouraged to act quickly. Buyers are encouraged to pick up their tickets at will call early or at the Lightning's IceFest on September 10 in order to avoid long lines on game days.
