LIGHTNING RE-ASSIGN C NICK TARNASKY TO SPRINGFIELD
The 6-foot-2, 233-pound native of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, registered two shots on goal in three games during his most recent recall. He has recorded nine goals, six assists and 72 penalty minutes in 52 games with Springfield this season.
Tarnasky appeared in nine games with the Lightning earlier this season, recording an assist and four penalty minutes. He has now played in 12 career NHL games. Selected by the Lightning in the ninth round, 287th overall, at the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Tarnasky played three seasons in the Western Hockey League with Vancouver, Kelowna and Lethbridge before joining the Falcons last season.
