ATTENTION BACK 2 BACK BELIEVERS: STANLEY CUP PLAYOFF TICKETS TO GO ON SALE SATURDAY
TICKETS FOR GAMES 1 AND 2 OF EASTERN CONFERENCE QUARTERFINALS TO BE AVAILABLE STARTING AT 10 A.M.

Tickets for games 1 and 2 of the 2006 Stanley Cup Playoffs will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. as the 2004 Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning look to defend their title.

"Back 2 Back Believers" can purchase single-game tickets at Ticketmaster.com, by calling Ticketmaster at 813.288.BOLT or by visiting the McDonald's Box Office at the St. Pete Times Forum. A limited number of seats will be available for each game in the Plaza, Club and Terrace Levels of the arena. Playoff tickets for additional games will go on sale at a later, still to be determined, date.

"As anyone who attended the Stanley Cup Playoffs during our 2004 Championship run can attest, there is not a more electric environment in all of sports," said Ron Campbell, President of the Lightning and the St. Pete Times Forum. "The emotion, intensity and unpredictability of the NHL Playoffs makes it the most exciting time of the year for loyal and casual fans alike.

"Even though single-game tickets are going on sale this weekend, we still remind people that the best way to purchase Lightning tickets is by purchasing a ticket package for the 2006-07 season. That guarantees discounted pricing in all ticket areas for both next season and this year's playoffs."

The Lightning continue to offer some of the best ticketing values in hockey: this year's average regular season ticket prices ranked 22nd out of the 30 teams in the National Hockey League. Single game playoff ticket prices will begin at $25.50 each, plus service fees, where applicable. The team also intends to continue the popular tradition of offering approximately 200 day-of-game seats for $8 during the postseason.

The Lightning (38-29-5) currently sit sixth in the Eastern Conference standings with 81 points. Tampa Bay has 10 games remaining; starting with tonight's meeting with the Atlanta Thrashers at the St. Pete Times Forum (7:30 p.m., Sun Sports, AM 620 WDAE).
