LIGHTNING CLINCH PLAYOFF BERTH WITH ATLANTA LOSS
After clinching their third consecutive playoff berth due to an Atlanta loss, Tampa Bay Lightning mascot ThunderBug will move from his home to the roof of the St. Pete Times Forum tonight. He will live on the roof until the first home game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs is sold out.
Tampa Bay Lightning playoff tickets went on sale on March 30. Individual tickets are now available for the first two Eastern Conference Quarter-Final home games, with prices starting as low as $25.
Additionally, 200 tickets priced at $8 will be made available at the McDonald's Box Office at the St. Pete Times Forum Box Office for each game of the Lightning's 2006 NHL Stanley Cup Playoff run presented by Sweetbay. Those tickets will be sold beginning at 9 a.m. on each game day. These tickets will only be sold through the St. Pete Times Forum Box Office, two tickets per person and none will be available over the phone, via ticketmaster or on any website.
While on the roof, ThunderBug will have a living room courtesy of Kane's Furniture, beverages from Coca-Cola, electronics courtesy of Buddy's Home Furnishings and signage from FastSigns. Hungry Howie's, Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's, Hooters, Chick fil A, Subway, Rattle Fish Raw Bar and Grill, Chili's and McDonald's will provide food for him during his stay on the roof. Walgreens will provide other survival gear including tanning products, snacks, re-hydration beverages and beach chairs.
Media opportunities will be available with ThunderBug while he lives on the roof at the St. Pete Times Forum. Contact Jason Franke at 813.965.2372 or Brian Breseman at 813.301.6871.
