SWEETBAY PARTNERS WITH LIGHTNING TO PRESENT 2006 PLAYOFFS
AGREEMENT TO ENHANCE FAN EXPERICENCE AT ST. PETE TIMES FORUM

The Tampa Bay Lightning announced today they have partnered with Sweetbay Supermarket to present the 2006 Stanley Cup Playoffs which begin tomorrow night in Ottawa.


"We are thrilled to be a part of this year's Stanley Cup Playoffs and even more excited about our continuing partnership with the Tampa Bay Lightning," said Steve Smith, Vice President of Marketing for Sweetbay. "Just as the Lightning brings heart-pounding action to the fans in West Central Florida, Sweetbay plans to bring a new kind of excitement to the Tampa Bay area."

"This commitment on their part will allow us to increase fan activities and involvement at the St. Pete Times Forum as Hockey Bay USA seeks its second consecutive Stanley Cup Championship."


Tampa Bay will begin the defense of their Stanley Cup Championship tomorrow as they play the first game of the best-of-seven series with the Ottawa Senators in Ottawa at 7 p.m. (Sun Sports, WDAE 620 AM). The Lightning will play Game 2 in Canada's capital city on Sunday at 6 p.m. before returning home for their first playoff game at the St. Pete Times Forum since they raised the Stanley Cup on June 7, 2004. They will take to home ice on Tuesday at 7 p.m. and again on Thursday at 7 p.m. Tickets to both games and the scheduled Game 6 on Monday, May 1 at 7 p.m. are available at the McDonald's Box Office at the St. Pete Times Forum, all Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com or by calling 813.301.6600.
