LIGHTNING BRING FANS UP-CLOSE TO THE ACTION WITH THE 'ICE BOX'
The Tampa Bay Lightning have created a unique seating area, called the "Ice Box," created between the team benches, ensuring even more fans can experience the up-close excitement of Lightning hockey.
"We continue to look for ways to create great guest experiences," said Ron Campbell, President of the Lightning and the St. Pete Times Forum. "And the 'Ice Box' opportunity has to be at the very top of the list. I can't think of a better once-in-a lifetime type experience for a hockey fan. Being able to sit right down in the bench area, between both teams, should make for a very special evening for some lucky fans."
The section is located between the team benches in what was formerly a location for photographers shooting games at the St. Pete Times Forum. The location allows fans to get up-close-and-personal to the game as they will be lined up directly with both the Lightning and visiting team players, separated by only a thin sheet of plexi-glass. Fans will be able to feel the action, hear coaches bark out the game plan and listen to players communicate on the bench.
The experience includes 16 seats to the game, including eight in the Ice Box and another eight directly behind the Ice Box. Other amenities include a complimentary game program, a private guest service attendant, a personal meet and greet with a Lightning celebrity or celebrities, a pre-game dinner in Medallions Restaurant, access to the new XO VIP Club with complimentary beverages, special gifts for everyone in the party, a group photo, jumbo-tron recognition and three VIP garage parking passes.
