LIGHTNING REASSIGN BLAIR JONES TO SPRINGFIELD
The Tampa Bay Lightning reassigned center Blair Jones to Springfield of the American Hockey League today, Executive Vice President and General Manager Jay Feaster announced.

Jones, 6-foot-3, 210-pounds, played in six games with the Lightning and recorded two assists and three shots on goal. He made his NHL debut on November 20 at Buffalo and recorded his first career assist and point November 22 at Florida.

Prior to his recall he had played in all 17 games for the Falcons and scored four goals and recorded 12 points. He played in two games with the Lightning during the 2006 preseason and logged nearly 10 minutes of ice time in each game while landing two hits, recording one takeaway and blocking three shots.

Jones was selected by the Lightning in the fourth round, 102nd overall, at the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
