LIGHTNING RECALL G KARRI RAMO FROM SPRINGFIELD
The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled goaltender Karri Ramo from Springfield of the American Hockey League today, Executive Vice President and General Manager Jay Feaster announced.

Ramo, 6-foot-2, 192-pounds, has played in 14 games with the Falcons this season and posted an 8-3 record with a 2.89 goal-against average, .911 save percentage and one shutout in his first North American season. Ramo is currently tied for third in the AHL in wins and ranks 12th in save percentage.

The Asikkala, Finland native aided HPK Hameenlinna to the Finnish Championship in 2005-06, his first year with the team. Ramo, 20, played in 24 games for HPK, posting a 2.16 GAA and a .929 save percentage.

He represented Finland at the 2006 World Junior Championships and played in one game en route to winning a bronze medal.

Ramo was selected by the Lightning in the sixth round, 191st overall, at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
