EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – With their Eastern Conference Quarter-Final series tied at two, the Tampa Bay Lightning and New Jersey Devils returned to Continental Airlines Arena for a Game 5 match-up. Despite out-shooting the Devils 31-14 in the contest the Lightning were unable to mount an early deficit, dropping a 3-0 decision at New Jersey.
The teams return to Tampa for a Game 6 match-up on Sunday, April 22 at the St. Pete Times Forum. Game time is set for 1:00p.m. (620 WDAE) and can be seen on NBC.
En route to the victory, the Devils posted a goal a period and goaltender Martin Brodeur recorded his 22nd career playoff shutout to lift New Jersey to a 3-2 series lead.
