Hot off the presses - the Lightning lineup for tomorrow night when Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals visit the St. Pete Times Forum:

Forward lines
Vaclav Prospal-Vincent Lecavalier-Martin St. Louis
Jan Hlavac-Andreas Karlsson-Jason Ward
Mathieu Darche-Ryan Craig-Kyle Wanvig
Andre Roy-Craig MacDonald-Nick Tarnasky

Defensive pairs
Paul Ranger-Dan Boyle
Matt Smaby-Brad Lukowich
Dan Jancesvki-Doug Janik

Goalies
Johan Holmqvist
Karri Ramo

Looks like an entertaining lineup from a Lightning fan’s perspective, with the MVP Line, Dan Boyle, etc. Also, Darche earns another look after scoring the winner in OT Wednesday against Dallas, Hlavac will be anxious to make an impression, and Matt Smaby gets a chance to stake his claim on a defensive spot. The Jancevski/Janik pairing is also interesting, as the two are competing for the same spot as well.

Practice in Brandon today was divided into two groups again, and the guys were given the day off from the weight room for the first time. Chris Gratton (scratched cornea) and Michel Ouellet (hamstring strain) didn’t skate again, but Andre Roy looks good to go and will see his first preseason action tomorrow night as well.

Following the practice, Lecavalier taped a promotional commercial for the NHL featuring his stick-handling abilities. Ovechkin, Eric Staal and Sidney Crosby are also being featured in the campaign.
