Veteran defenseman Brad Lukowich will sit down periodically during the season to update fans on the team's road trips, get-togethers and anything else he finds interesting. Check back often to kick back and relax in Luke's Lounge as he lets you in on the happenings on the road and on the ice.
Well, because of the outcome of the game, I have to say that the trip to Boston wasn't much fun. We got in the day before, and I went to dinner at a place called Sonsie's with Craiger, Boyle, O'Brien and Ranger. It was a good dinner and the place had really good food. It was a pretty laid-back night, which was nice.

We did some good things in the game, but just didn't get the outcome we were hoping for. Nights like that happen sometimes when you know the effort is there, it just doesn't show on the scoreboard.

We flew home right after the game and had the next day off, but some guys still came in for a quick workout. For the game against Atlanta on Saturday, we knew we had to come out with the same, if not better effort than we did against Boston and take advantage of our opportunities. We did that and we played hard and got the win.

Sunday night, Ward, Ranger, O'Brien and I all brought our wives and girlfriends to the Maroon 5 concert at the Forum. It's a band I've never really been into, but my wife, Cara, wanted to go, so I went in with an open mind. It ended up being a great show. They sounded really, really great, and looked like they were having fun up there, which you don't get to see too often anymore. It was a good time, and I'm really glad I went.

As far as hockey goes, we have our first back-to-back series this week against Washington and Philly, teams that are playing really good hockey right now. Today's atmosphere at practice was very business-like - guys are already looking ahead to Wednesday's game and are really focused.
There's a good feeling surrounding the team right now, and it's a feeling you want to have and want to keep. Hopefully we can keep it going throughout this week.

If you have any questions for me, you can e-mail Luke@tampabaylightning.com. I will look at them and try to answer a few when I get some time for upcoming blogs. Hopefully I'll see you this week at the games!
