LIGHTNING PARTNER WITH ION TO BROADCAST SIX 'OVER-THE-AIR' GAMES

GAMES TO AIR IN TAMPA, ORLANDO AND JACKSONVILLE

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning and ION Television (formerly PAX) have partnered to broadcast six additional games which were previously not on the Lightning television schedule for the 2007-08 season.  The first game to be aired will be Wednesday when Tampa Bay takes to the ice against Southeast Division-leading Carolina at 7:30 p.m. at the St. Pete Times Forum (ION, AM 620 WDAE).

“It is our desire to make as many of our games available to as many of our fans as possible here in Hockey Bay USA,” Lightning President Ron Campbell said.  “By adding these additional games to our broadcast schedule this year, and by hopefully doing so in the future, more games will be visible to fans all throughout the state of Florida.”

ION will also air games on Saturday, November 24 vs. the New Jersey Devils, Saturday, December 15 vs. the Washington Capitals, Tuesday, January 15 vs. the Colorado Avalanche, Tuesday, January 22 vs. the Edmonton Oilers and Wednesday, February 20 at the Buffalo Sabres.
