Still waiting on word regarding the MRI on Ryan Craig’s left knee, which took place today at University Community Hospital. Craig was injured in the first period of Saturday’s game. I’ll provide an update as soon as the full extent of the injury and prognosis are known.

The Lightning recalled center Craig MacDonald from Norfolk to fill Craig’s roster spot, and MacDonald slide onto the fourth line with Nick Tarnasky and Andre Roy at practice today. Andreas Karlsson still appears to be the odd man out, with Chris Gratton, Mathieu Darche and Jason Ward on the third line. The recall comes at a fortunate time for MacDonald, as his wife remained in Tampa when he was sent to Norfolk and she’s due any day.

Filip Kuba didn’t skate again today, though John Tortorella said he expects the team’s plus/minus leader to be ready for Chicago Wednesday night. Tortorella changed things up a bit routine-wise today, reverting to the old habit of holding the team meeting/video session after practice. So far this season all video sessions had taken place before practice.
