Last night was certainly a fun one for both the fans and players, with the Bolts showing confidence and swagger throughout the game. Vinny Lecavalier was a force again, Jeff Halpern continues to impress and Nick Tarnasky capped the night off with a decisive victory against Rob Davison in a late-game bout. Putting up eight goals on the scoreboard never hurts either.

Congrats to John Tortorella for becoming the winningest U.S.-born coach in NHL history last night, passing Pittsburgh coaching legend Bob Johnson with number 235.

Short practice today followed by a flight to Boston. We'll arrive at the hotel in Copley Square around 6 p.m., and I'll hopefully be sitting at a table in the North End by 7:30!
