LOS ANGELES– April 29, 2008 – World Championship Sports Network (WCSN), the premier destination for fans of Olympic and lifestyle sports, in partnership with the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), will be the official U.S home for the 2008 IIHF World Championships from Quebec City, Quebec, and Halifax, Nova Scotia. Kicking off May 2 with the first three contests of the 56 game series is the anticipated U.S versus Latvia showdown. Hockey fans can look forward to a tournament full of rivalries as teams from around the globe fight for the coveted IIHF World Championship title. Now through May 18, fans can watch 16 national teams including Russia, Canada, Finland, Italy, Sweden and Slovakia among others as WCSN covers all the action from the first puck drop of the tournament through the gold-medal game.
