Lightning Hockey Night
Lightning Hockey Night, the Tampa Bay Lightning weekly radio show, will be broadcasting live this Wednesday from WingHouse of Brandon. The show airs from 7-8 p.m. with the party starting at 6 p.m. Lightning fans can join in the fun and festivities with the Lightning Girls, ThunderBug and the Energy Team as they will be on-site with prizes and giveaways.


Wednesday's show will feature hosts Rick Peckham, the Lightning's television play-by-play announcer, and former Lightning captain Dave Andreychuk. Guests can listen in as former Lightning defenseman and current Pittsburgh Penguin Darryl Sydor joins the program at 7:15 p.m. Sydor will talk about the Penguins upcoming trip to the Stanley Cup finals, as well as his 2004 Stanley Cup memories with the Lightning. This season will be Sydor's fifth appearance in the Stanley Cup Finals. He also won the Stanley Cup with the Dallas Stars in 1999.


Also joining the program will be Penguins radio play-by-play announcer Mike Lange at 7:30 p.m. Lange is in his 32nd season with the Penguins and is known for his creative and colorful style, including trademark phrases such as “Buy Sam A Drink And Get His Dog One, Too.” Lange was awarded the Foster Hewitt award by the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2001. The award is given members to members of radio and television who make outstanding contributions to their profession and the game of hockey during their broadcasting careers.


Stop by for the show and to support the Lightning. Fans in attendance can enter to win an autographed Vincent Lecavalier hockey stick. The Energy team will be handing out Dave Andreychuk commemorative coins that can be signed after the show. Andreychuk will sign autographs from 8 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
