Lightning Hockey Night

Wednesday, August 13 from 7pm - 8pm

Tuesday, 08.12.2008 / 7:23 PM / Fan Zone
Tampa Bay Lightning

Lightning Hockey Night, the Tampa Bay Lightning weekly radio show, will be on the air Wednesday night on AM 620 WDAE from 7-8 p.m.

Wednesday's show will feature hosts Rick Peckham, the Lightning's television play-by-play announcer, and former Lightning forward Chris Dingman. Chris played in Tampa Bay for four seasons and was a part of the 2003-04 Stanley Cup Championship season.

Joining the program at 7:15 p.m. will be Lightning assistant coach Rick Tocchet. Rick, an 18-year veteran of the NHL, won a Stanley Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 1992 season. He is now in his fifth season as an assistant coach after spending time with Colorado and Phoenix, where he rejoined former teammate Wayne Gretzky. Rick played under new Lightning head coach Barry Melrose while in LA during the 1994-95 season. He is also one of only three players in the NHL to record at least 400 career goals and 2,500 career penalty minutes. (New Lightning forward Gary Roberts and Pat Verbeek are the others.)

At 7:30 p.m., Lightning strength and conditioning coach Kevin Zeigler will join Rick and Chris on the program. Kevin will be discussing the team's offseason training program and how the players have worked during the summer to prepare themselves for the upcoming season as training camp quickly approaches.

Tune in to Lightning Hockey Night this week and every Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. on AM 620 WDAE.
