The Lightning had an optional skate this morning at the Pepsi Center (don't ask for a Coke) in preparation for tonight's game against the Avalanche.

Gary Roberts will be back in the line up tonight after missing four games with an upper body injury. Evgeny Artyukhin will sit this one out as Rick Tocchet believes watching a game from the press box will do him some good. Olaf Kolzig will make the start in goal.

Tocchet praised the recent play of Steven Stamkos and Radim Vrbata. Stamkos played more than 20 minutes for the first time in his career on Friday night and added an assist. Tocchet likes the way Vrbata is getting to pucks and I'm sure it helps that he's finally starting to find the net on a consistent basis.

Speaking of scoring goals, it is beginning to look like Tocchet's mantra of 'net presence' is showing up on the scoresheet. Both goals against the Wild, one tip and the other on a rebound, were direct results of players going to the net.
