The Lightning got right down to business today once they landed in Pittsburgh. After checking into the hotel it was off to Mellon Arena for practice.

The weather here in Steel-town is much better than I expected. It is cold and windy but the sun is out and ther is no snow to speak of. I guess we'll see how that lasts though.

Practice today consisted of about 35 mintues of skating and battling drills followed by a lengthy video session. It is safe to say that the coaching staff sent a message with today's practice.

Rick Tocchet remembered what these are often refered to a 'bag' skates from his playing days by saing 'You have to figure out what you are and who you are as a player.'
