Lightning insider

After some rough weather in Atlanta it was calm with a chill in the air this morning as the Lightning prepared for their final game of the season tonight against the Thrashers at Philips Arena. Had some good times last night down at Gibney's Pub in downtown. It was surprising how dead all the local watering holes were last night. I guess the bad weather and tornado warnings scared people off. There were just a few Braves fans hanging out as the team was having their home opener.

As for the game, Mike McKenna will get the start in net tonight on his birthday. Hopefully he'll get two points in honor of the occasion. The blue line is again in flux as it appears the Lukas Krajicek has come down with a bit of a stomach bug. Matt Lashoff and Josef Melichar are both on the trip and skated this morning so one or both should be able to go tonight.

Its been an interesting season for sure and thanks for reading. I'll be around this summer give updates on all the goings on so be sure to stay tuned in on TampaBayLightning.com.
