The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned defenseman Mike Lundin to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League, Executive Vice President and General Manager Brian Lawton announced today.

Lundin, 6-foot-2, 197 pounds, played in one game after being recalled on November 21.  He logged 13:29 in ice time in yesterday’s 4-3 overtime win against the Atlanta Thrashers.  The game was his first NHL action since December 10, 2008. Lundin has played in 107 career NHL games, all with Tampa Bay, recording eight assists.  During his rookie season he represented the Lightning in the 2008 YoungStars Game held during All-Star Weekend at Philips Arena in Atlanta.  Last season he played in 25 games with Tampa Bay, recording two assists.

A native of Burnsville, Minnesota, Lundin has played in 19 games with the Admirals this season, recording two goals and 11 points. At the time of his recall he led all Norfolk defensemen in goals, assists and points while ranking fifth on the team overall in points and tied for the lead in assists.

Lundin was drafted by the Lightning in the fourth round, 102nd overall, at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
