Lightning Concert Series, Presented by Volkswagen, to feature Gloriana February 4

The Tampa Bay Lightning announced today that country superstar group Gloriana is set to perform a post-game concert immediately following the team’s game versus the division-rival Florida Panthers on Saturday, February 4, as part of the Lightning Concert Series presented by VOLKSWAGEN. The concert is free with the purchase of a ticket to that night’s game and will be held on the west plaza stage of the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

The group, composed of Mike and Tom Gossin as well as Rachel Reinert, hit it big on the country music charts in 2009 with their gold-certified single 'Wild at Heart’ from their self-titled debut album, Gloriana, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and No. 3 on the Top 200 chart.

Gloriana also won the American Music Award, voted on by fans, for Breakthrough Artist, as well as the “Nationwide On Your Side” honor at the CMT Awards. The album’s success led to two years on the road, during which the band performed in front of millions worldwide as Taylor Swift’s hand-picked opening act on her Fearless tour. They also opened shows for Jason Aldean, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn and the Zac Brown Band.

In 2010, Gloriana won the Academy of Country Music’s award for Top New Vocal Group and were nominated for a Teen Choice Award for “Choice Country Group.” Now, the band members have funneled everything they’ve learned into writing and recording their second album alongside multi-platinum producer and songwriter Matt Serletic, which is due for release later this year.

The Lightning Post-Game Concert Series began in 2006 and has been a huge hit, attracting fans to enjoy additional entertainment after catching all the excitement of Lightning hockey. Other dates scheduled as part of the Lightning Concert Series presented by VOLKSWAGEN include February 18, March 10, March 17 and March 24 with performers to be announced at a later date.
