Bolts vs. Rangers Keys to the Game

Keys to the Game

Hi Bolts Nation!

The Lightning start a big three-game trip in the Big Apple tonight. Dave Andreychuk joins Chief and me on the telecasts this week. Here's what to look for tonight on Sun Sports:

KEY 1: GET BACK ON THE SAME PAGE
Six players have come back from injuries lately, which is great news, but it's not an automatic given that everyone picks up right where they left off. Returning players have to knock the rust off, and team play, which has been clicking in this recent stretch, can't suffer.
KEY 2: MEET THE CHALLENGE
The Bolts attack has averaged about 3.3 goals per game since Christmas, up with the league leaders, but it faces the NHL's 2nd and 3rd best defensive teams (NY and LA), and potentially Miller and Fleury this weekend. Quite a gauntlet.
KEY 3: TRUE GRIT
Beating King Henrik at the Garden three times in a row is a great accomplishment, all by one goal, two in a shootout. The Bolts have done it by trading hits with the Rangers, coming from behind, not backing down.

Enjoy the game everyone!
