Bolts at Penguins Keys to the Game
Hello Bolts Nation!

The Lightning need points this weekend to stay in the playoff chase and a win in Pittsburgh would sure help. Our coverage on Sun Sports starts at 1 pm. Needless to say Chief and I will be looking at:

KEY 1: THE BIG MATCHUP
Stammer has made up a lot of ground to tie Malkin for the scoring lead at 73 points, and has ten more goals with 43. Steven has points on the last seven Lightning goals-all the more important given the depleted lineup. Malkin has five goals, seven points in the last two games against the Bolts. A heavyweight matchup for sure.
KEY 2: OUT GRIND THE PENS
Pitt has adopted a grinding style of play with Sidney Crosby gone for virtually 14 months, and they play it well. The Lightning beat them at that game in the playoffs last spring, and the formula to beat them again hasn't changed.
KEY 3: "SPECIAL" TEAMS
It's a given, but the desperation the Bolts showed on the power-play at the end of the game in Winnipeg is needed more often.  PK has to give them a chance to win-early penalty kills would help.

Enjoy the game everyone!
