Lucky student, MetroPCS set to 'Take Victor Hedman to School'

Lightning defenseman to visit Mt. Vernon Elementary School in St. Petersburg

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman will visit Mt. Vernon Elementary School (4629 13th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, 33713) on Tuesday, March 20 as part of the “Take Victor Hedman to School” contest, presented by MetroPCS. The winning student is fourth-grader Andrew White.

Hedman will arrive at the school at 9 a.m. and go to Andrew’s classroom to answer questions from him and his classmates. Hedman will spend an hour with the students.

Youths in grades K-8 in Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Citrus, Highlands, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota counties had the opportunity to register for the Take Victor Hedman to School contest at any local MetroPCS store as well as during Lightning home games at the MetroPCS Client Services Lounge.
