Five Quick Facts on Stamkos\' 60th Goal of the Season

Steven Stamkos’ goal made him the first NHL center since 1995-96 (Mario Lemieux/69 goals) to get 60 goals in a season.

Stamkos became the second NHL player since the 2005 NHL Lockout to get 60 goals in a season (Alexander Ovechkin/65/2007-08).

Stamkos joins Lightning GM Steve Yzerman on the exclusive list of NHL players to earn 60 goals or more in a single season, with Yzerman having done so as a Red Wing in the 1989-90 season.

Stamkos is the 20th player in NHL history to score 60 or more goals in a season. He and Ovechkin, who had 65 in 2007-08, are the only players to hit the 60-goal mark since Pittsburgh's Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr both did it in 1995-96.

Of Stamkos' 60 goals this season, only 12 came on the power play with the rest coming at even strength.
