TAMPA – Ever wanted to bluff your favorite sports hero off a big hand at the poker table? How about one of the top poker players in the world? Your chance will come on Thursday, September 13 at the 6th Annual Vincent Lecavalier Texas Hold'Em Celebrity Poker Tournament at TPepin's Hospitality Centre in Tampa where more than 35 sport and entertainment celebrities are expected to play.
Join Tampa Bay Lightning Captain Vincent Lecavalier and special guest Dick Vitale, along with a host of top celebrities as they go all-in to raise funds for the Vincent Lecavalier Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorder Center at All Children's Hospital and to improve treatment outcomes for children battling the life threatening disease.
The evening, presented by DEX Imaging, gets started at 6:30 p.m. with a Private VIP/Players Party followed by the Wild Card Party featuring entertainment, auction, raffles, cocktails and hors de oeuvres for all guests at 7:30 p.m. The tournament gets underway at 8:15 p.m.
As a charity event, no cash or prizes will be awarded for tournament play and while Vinny's Cancer Center may be the real winner, should you be seated at one of the final two tables, you will receive an invitation to play in a separate, sponsored tournament the following week at one of your favorite Poker Rooms for a $50,000 prize pool.
Not an ace player? Don't sweat the cards. It's more about the fun and the cause. There will be unlimited number of re-buys available for a suggested minimum donation during the first hour of play.
A VIP/ All-Access Poker Player Pass including access to the VIP Party, the Wild Card Party and one seat for the tournament is $500; and a General Access Poker Player Pass (including access to the Wild Card Party and one poker seat) is $400.
Spectator passes are also available. The VIP All-Access Guest Pass, which provides access to the VIP and Wild Card Parties, is available for $200, and the General Access Guest Pass, which includes the Wild Card Party is available for $150.
