NHL Cancels Additional Lightning Preseason Games
TAMPA BAY – The National Hockey League cancelled the three remaining Lightning preseason games today. Cancelled home games include Tuesday, October 2 at Germain Arena in Ft. Myers against the Florida Panthers and Thursday, October 4 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum against the Panthers. In addition, the Lightning’s final preseason game on Saturday, October 6 at BB&T Center in Sunrise, FL against the Panthers was also cancelled.
The cancellation of the games was necessary because of the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players’ Association and the NHL.

Season Ticket Members, as well as those with 21- and 10-game plans, can visit www.tampabaylightning.com/STM or call the Lightning service department at 813.301.6800 for more information.
