NHL Cancels Lightning Regular Season Games Through Oct. 24
TAMPA BAY – The National Hockey League announced today the cancellation of 2012-13 regular season games through October 24, 2012. There are four Tampa Bay Lightning games affected, including three at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. Cancelled home games include Tuesday, October 16 against the New York Islanders, Friday, October 19 versus the Florida Panthers and the Tuesday, October 23 match-up with the New York Rangers.
The cancellation of the games was necessary because of the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players’ Association and the NHL.
The Lightning are offering Season Ticket Members multiple refund options through its Loyalty and Rewards Program. Season Ticket Members, as well as those with 21- and 10-game plans, can visit www.tampabaylightning.com/STM or call the Lightning service department at 813.301.6800 for more information.
