Lightning Prospect Performer of the Week
Alex Killorn, the Tampa Bay Lightning’s third round selection of the 2007 NHL Draft, is the Lightning Prospect Performer of the Week for the period ending December 24.
Killorn, a back-to-back winner, continued his brilliant play scoring in both games this past week and extending his goal scoring streak to an AHL best, six straight games.
He recorded a two-point night on Friday in the Crunch’s 4-3 shootout loss, including an assist on the game-tying goal in the third period on Tyler Johnson’s tally.
Prior to his six-game goal scoring streak, Killorn only had four goals, but since his hot-streak started, he’s become the fifth Crunch player to net double-digit goals this season.
Over his past three games, Killorn has tallied five points (three goals, two assists) and has been one of Syracuse’s top point-getters. So far during the month of December, he has notched seven goals and nine points in 10 games.
