Lightning Announce Race Packet Pick-Up Information For 12th Annual Bolt Run This Saturday
The Tampa Bay Lightning and the Lightning Foundation will hold the 12th annual Bolt Run, presented by vitaminwater®, benefitting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, on Saturday, March 9 with the first race starting at 7 a.m. Race day registration and last minute packet pick-up will begin on Saturday morning at 6 a.m. at the McDonald’s ® box office.
Runners who have signed up and are looking to pick up their race packets on Friday may do so from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lakewood Ranch Client Services Lounge. Each registered participant will receive a free ticket to the Lightning’s game on March 18 against the Philadelphia Flyers or the Tampa Bay Storm home opener on March 23 versus the Jacksonville Sharks.
The Bolt Run features three separate classifications of races which participants may enter. The 5K race will begin at 7 a.m., while the five-mile event will start at 7:30 a.m. The one-mile Family Fun race will feature a start time of 8:30 a.m. and will wrap up the day’s festivities. All three races will begin and end at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, while the pre-event and post-event parties will be held on Thunder Alley (West Plaza).
Each race will feature chip timing and results that will be posted on www.CoolRunning.com. Awards will be distributed to the top three runners in the 5K, five-mile and one-mile Family Fun races. Raffle prizes including Lightning merchandise, tickets to events at the Times Forum and Lightning home games will also be awarded. Lightning broadcasters, alumni, ThunderBug, the Lightning Girls and the mobile fan truck, Rolling Thunder, will also be at the event.
