Played collegiately with Teddy Purcell at the University of Maine in 2005-06.

Was acquired by the Senators from St. Louis on 2/26/12 in exchange for a second round draft pick in 2013. Made his Ottawa debut March 6, 2012 at Tampa Bay, and registered 25 saves in a 7-3 victory.

In 36 career NHL games, has posted a 15-13-0 record with a .911 save percentage and a 2.58 goals against average.

Was recognized as the most valuable player of the 2012 AHL All-Star Classic after turning aside 10 of the 11 shots he faced in addition to stopping all four shootout attempts in an 8-7 Western Conference victory on Jan. 30 at Atlantic City, N.J.
