No more spin cycle…

Speculation on Twitter has surfaced from the GM meetings last week in Boston and there seems to be some truth to these rumblings.

Since the shootout was brought to the NHL after the 2004-05 lockout, many people have been divided on whether or not they like it. The shootout has been criticized as a skills competition, which it really is, that decides who comes away with an extra point.

Now the NHL may be taking some of the skill out of the competition. Rumors are spreading, and it seems to be true, that players will no longer be able to perform the "spin-o-rama" during shootouts.

Honestly, I do not agree with the regulation because with a shootout being a skills competition already, players should be able to use all of their tricks to score.

With the "spin-o-rama" possibly coming to an end, let us take a look at some of the best ones in the past.

And of course, Steven Stamkos getting in on the action:

Dave Andreychuk one of the best…

In light of the NHL Draft's 50th anniversary, NHL.com is picking the best first round picks of all time. This week NHL.com chose former Lightning Captain and Stanley Cup Champion Dave Andreychuk as their 16th pick.

Andreychuk, who still works in Tampa Bay's front office, was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1982 draft and immediately was introduced to the NHL the next season.

Andreychuk experienced a long career with six different teams, winning the Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2003-04 season as the team's captain.

Tattoo Nightmare???

I know you all have probably heard of the show "Tattoo Nightmare" that appears on Spike TV.

If you haven't, it is a show where people seek the help of these tattoo experts to cover up horrible tattoos they got in their younger days.

Well, a Chicago Blackhawks fan by the name of Russell Pederson may have to pay a visit to the Tattoo Nightmare experts.

Pederson, who has instilled a lot of faith in his beloved Blackhawks, decided to add to his Stanley Cup tattoo collection by prematurely adding the year 2013 to his bicep.

What is he going to do if the 'Hawks lose to the Bruins? Who knows if he even thought about the Blackhawks not winning. My guess is he didn't and if Chicago does lose I believe all blame should be put on Pederson, much like it was put on Steve Bartman who cost the Chicago Cubs a chance at a World Series
