The Lightning will look to earn a season split with Winnipeg Jets tonight when it faces the Jets for the second and final time this season. The Bolts fell to the Jets 2-1 in overtime on December 7th. Puck drops in Winnipeg at 8:00 pm ET and you can follow all of the action on Sun Sports.

Rookie forward Ondrej Palat is riding a career-best six game scoring streak

Here are four story lines heading into tonight's matchup.

  1. Anders Lindback will get his second shot at defeating the Winnipeg Jets tonight. This is also the first time this season that Lindback will get an attempt at playing in back-to-back games after entering Sunday's contest five minutes into the first period. The last time Lindback faced the Jets he stopped 34 of 36 shots.
  2. Bolts rookies continue their hot streak with Ondrej Palat extending his point streak to a career-high six games. Palat is tied with Jet Mark Scheifele for the longest point streak by an NHL rookie this season. Nikita Kucherov also extended his goal streak to three games with an early power play goal against Edmonton. Tyler Johnson ranks first among rookie forwards in total time on ice averaging 18:05 minutes per game.
  3. Since Steven Stamkos succumbed to injury on November 11th, Valterri Filppula has recorded 21 points in 25 games including 13 points in his past 10 games.
  4. Despite losing to Edmonton on Friday, the Bolts have still managed to collect points in eight of their past 10 games. Tonight's game will wrap up their Western Canada road trip before they head back to Tampa to take on the Washington Capitals on Thursday night. Tampa Bay currently boasts a record of 10-4-2 against Western Conference opponents.
