Tampa Bay History Center celebrates Lightning Stanley Cup 10th anniversary
TAMPA BAY – The 10th anniversary of the Tampa Bay Lightning’s 2004 Stanley Cup Championship will be celebrated at the Tampa Bay History Center, 801 Old Water Street, on Saturday, June 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Former Lightning captain Dave Andreychuk and other 2004 Stanley Cup alumni will talk about their championship run and meet attendees at the event. Fans are invited to come ready with questions as a Q&A session will be hosted by current television play-by-play announcer Rick Peckham. Attendees will get an inside look on the Lightning’s Stanley Cup victory which they captured on June 7, 2004 in Game 7 against the Calgary Flames at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.
The 10-year anniversary will be honored by the History Center as part of their ‘Show & Tell’ series and will display the seven trophies the Lightning won in 2004 in their championship season. Replica trophies on display will include the Conn Smyth Trophy, Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, Hart Memorial Trophy, Art Ross Trophy, Jack Adams Award, Prince of Wales Trophy and Stanley Cup.
Tickets for the two hour 10th anniversary program will cost $15 for Tampa Bay History Center members and $20 for the general public and can be purchased at www.tampabayhistorycenter.org. A separate museum gallery ticket can be purchased at a discounted rate on the day of the event. Parking is not included with the program price.
