Lightning executives players and coaches accept the ALS ice bucket challenge
Several members of the Lightning organization have joined in including Jon Cooper, Steven Stamkos, Tyler Johnson and Victor Hedman

The ice bucket challenge is pretty simple. Dump a bucket of ice water on your head and challenege three of your friends to do the same thing all in the name of ALS research. Celebrities such at Martha Stewart, Matt Lauer, Joanna Garcia and athletes from every league have joined in.

It's all in good fun to raise awareness for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

Thursday Update: Lightning video coach Nigel Kirwan also joined in the fun.

Lightning CEO Tod Leiweke accepted the challenge from Cooper on Monday afternoon.

Stamkos accepted a challenge from Arizona Coyotes and former Lightning goalie Mike Smith. Stamkos then challenged Hedman.

Lightning prospect J.P. Cote challenged Cooper and of course he accepted with a little help from ThunderBug.

UPDATE: Ondrej Palat has responded and posted his ice bucket challenge.
