Dr. Manuel S. Rose
Team Radiology Consultant for the Tampa Bay Lightning
Dr. Rose enters his sixth season as Team Radiology Consultant and provides primary interpretation and second opinion interpretation of MRI’s and CT exams performed on Lightning players. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and has over 20 years experience in Radiology and Musculoskeletal MRI, arthrography and radiological intervention.
He obtained his “Doctor of Medicine” degree from Brown University in 1986 and completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, while serving in the U.S. Army in Washington D.C. He later completed a visiting MRI Fellowship at the University of South Florida. Following residency he served as a radiologist at MacDill Air Force Base FL and then at Fort Jackson SC before settling in Tampa Bay.
He is a recognized leader in the radiology community and currently serves on the board of the Florida Radiological Society and councilor with the American College of Radiology. He is founder of Rose Radiology Centers, Inc.
Dr. Rose played college hockey for Tufts University (1978-1982) and currently still plays and coaches for recreation. He is a native of Massachusetts and currently resides in Clearwater with his wife Susan and two sons Marcus and Spencer.
