The Lightning Foundation is pleased to have many tremendous fans, donors and hockey enthusiasts in the Tampa Bay area and surrounding communities. The Lightning host many events throughout the year to benefit the Lightning Foundation, including the Bolt Run, Glitz & Sticks and home game auctions.
GLITZ & STICKS
Glitz & Sticks has been the signature event for the past decade of the Lightning Foundation, which is dedicated to investing its resources and leadership for the enrichment of the people of Tampa Bay, focusing on meeting basic human needs and enhancing lives. Guests enjoy a fun evening of gambling with and against all the Lightning players, coaches, management and alumni. The goal is to have fun while supporting a good cause, as event proceeds benefit both the Tampa General Hospital Children’s Medical Center and the Lightning Foundation.
BOLT RUN
The Bolt Run is The Lightning Foundation’s annual run which is typically held in March and consists of an early morning 5km, 5-mile and 1-mile Fun Run. The event spans the entire morning and features pre-and post-race parties. All runners and walkers receive a Lightning themed race goodie bag, food and beverages and a donation to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Lightning Foundation.

HOME GAME AUCTIONS
The Lightning Foundation conducts a live, in-game auction at section 120 every game night. These one-of-a-kind silent auctions will feature dynamic sports memorabilia from not only your favorite members of the Tampa Bay Lightning, but other stars in the sports world, past and present. All proceeds will benefit the Lightning Foundation and its initiative of giving back in the community.
