• Bolts look to have Halpern back tonight against Flyers

The Big Story: The Lightning enter tonight’s game for the second half of the team’s sixth back-to-back set of the season. In the final match of games on consecutive nights, the Lightning are 4-0-1 and have picked up nine out of a possible 10 points. Tampa Bay earned victories following games played just the night before on Nov. 3 at Toronto, Nov. 22 at Atlanta, Dec. 5 at New York and Dec. 18 at St. Louis. The Bolts also picked up a point in an overtime loss to Dallas on Nov. 28. Tampa Bay has outscored the opposition 19-11 in those games.

Team Scope:

LIGHTNING – Tampa Bay wraps up its three-game road trip tonight at the Wachovia Center as the Bolts seek their first win of the season against the Flyers. The Lightning got off to a hot start last night at the Prudential Center, scoring three goals against Martin Brodeur and the Devils up until midway through the second period when play was halted due to a partial power outage. The remainder of the contest will be played at a later date. The team has won five out of eight, and despite being outshot in two of the last three contests away from home, the Bolts have managed to pick up a pair of wins in both.

FLYERS – The Flyers are winners of six out of eight and have won two straight. Philadelphia has picked up 13 out of a possible 16 points over that span, and look to continue the trend in their second-to-last home game tonight before traveling to Toronto on Jan. 14. Coming off a 7-4 win over Pittsburgh in its last game on Thursday, Philadelphia has scored 17 goals in their past three games. They’re also getting steady goaltending out of net minder Michael Leighton. The Flyers have good defensive coverage and Leighton is getting good looks and is positioned in the limited shooting lanes.

Who’s Hot: - Martin St. Louis is riding an eight-game point streak in which he has tallied four goals and seven assists, and Steven Stamkos has tallied three helpers in one less contest. Steve Downie has a goal and a pair of assists in as many games for the Bolts, while Vincent Lecavalier has totaled 13 points in his last 10.

- Philadelphia’s James van Riemsdyk and Chris Pronger each have six points in their last three, while Arron Asham, Mike Richards, Kimmo Timonen and Simon Gagne have recorded points in three straight games as well. Jeff Carter has tallied eight points over the last five.

Injury Report: LIGHTNING – Jeff Halpern (lower body, placed on Injured Reserve, out one week) and Todd Fedoruk (lower body, placed on Injured Reserve, out one week). FLYERS – Ray Emery (abdomen, day-to-day), Ryan Parent (lower body, day-to-day) and Ole-Kristian Tollefsen (undisclosed injury, day-to-day).
