Team Scope:

LIGHTNING – Tampa Bay plays one game on the road at Philips Arena tonight before returning home for a two-game set beginning Sunday against Nashville. The Lightning are playing their second consecutive game tonight and their second back-to-back set of the season, following last night’s tough overtime loss to the New York Islanders. Matt Moulson’s game-winning goal in the extra period needed video assistance to be confirmed, but the Lightning still earned a point after getting goals from Sean Bergenheim and Martin St. Louis, as well as a 22-save effort by Dan Ellis.

THRASHERS – Atlanta plays its second and final home game tonight against its division rivals before heading to the nation’s capital for the first of a two-game road swing. The Thrashers have won two of the last three, with Wednesday’s 4-1 loss at Buffalo the only thing keeping them from going on a three-game win streak. Tobias Enstrom scored with the man advantage for Atlanta, but the lone goal was not enough to overcome a three-goal deficit in the third period.

Who’s Hot: Tampa Bay’s Steven Stamkos has 10 points in six games for the Lightning and teammate Steve Downie has four points in his last four contests. Dominic Moore also has three points in his last four games for the Bolts and Martin St. Louis has recorded points in two straight.
