GAME: Tampa Bay Lightning (13-6-4-1) at New York Islanders (10-13-2-0).

TIME: Tuesday, 7 p.m. EST.

The Tampa Bay Lightning look to continue their winning ways on their four-game road trip when they meet the New York Islanders for the second time this season.

Tampa Bay was on a season-high six-game winless streak when it began its trip, but snapped that skid with a 3-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday.

The Lightning then moved on and beat the New York Rangers 3-2 on Sunday, giving them consecutive victories for the first time since a three-game winning streak from Nov. 14-22.

On Sunday, Tampa Bay fought fatigue while playing its third game in four nights. The Lightning, who arrived in New York about six hours before the contest because of a Northeast snowstorm, outshot and outscored the Rangers in the third period to rally for the win.

Trailing 2-1 in the decisive final period, Martin St. Louis tied it with a breakaway goal during a power play 1:26 into the period, then set up Cory Sarich for the winner at 8:23.

"We played a simple road game, nothing flashy," St. Louis said. "Obviously we didn't get much rest. A 5 o'clock game on a back-to-back day, there's almost no time to think about it. You just get right back at it."

The Lightning now face an Islanders team that snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 5-2 win Saturday over the Chicago Blackhawks, a club that is winless in 14 straight games.

Alexei Yashin scored twice and Dave Scatchard returned from a shoulder injury to register a goal and assist as New York won for the first time since Nov. 19.

"I just tried to keep it simple and have some fun again," Scatchard said after his return from a separated shoulder sustained Oct. 18. "I realized after being away for so long just how much I missed it."

Tampa Bay concludes it trip Thursday against the Ottawa Senators, while New York visits the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday.
