LIGHTNING (24-12-4) at FLAMES (14-20-6)
Tampa Bay 7-2-1; Calgary 3-5-2
Sun Sports; AM 970 WFLA
The Tampa Bay Lightning and Calgary Flames meet for the first time this season Friday at Scotiabank Saddledome. Their second and final contest comes at the Tampa Bay Times Forum on April 3.
Previously losing seven straight on the road, Tampa Bay has rebounded by winning their past four away from the Times Forum. They look to continue their hot streak with six of their next seven games away from the Times Forum.
LIGHTNING – Being removed from the distractions of the holidays that seemed to show in back-to-back home losses last weekend, the Lightning opened up their four-game road trip with a 4-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks. Netminders Ben Bishop and Eddie Lack kept things tight through the midway point of the game, but five goals were scored through the last nine minutes of the second giving the Bolts a 3-2 advantage. Alex Killorn added a third period goal that snapped the Lightning's recent woes and set them up for success moving forward with the trip.
Forward Ryan Malone, who missed 16 games with a broken foot, and defenseman Eric Brewer also returned to the lineup Wednesday.
FLAMES – Flipping the page to a New Year might not be such a bad thing for the Flames, who finished December by losing seven of their past eight games. Calgary has also been shutout two times in their past three, which is a concern for the Flames heading into Friday. In their most recent loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on New Year's Eve, Calgary knotted the game at one in the second, but the Flyers managed three unanswered goals to hand the Flames their third straight loss at the Saddledome.
Center Valtteri Filppula has amassed 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in his past eight games, including five multi-point games in his past seven. Forwards Tyler Johnson (three goals, one assist) and Ondrej Palat (one goal, three assists) are riding four-game point streaks.
12/27 – Recalled D Dmitry Korobov from the Syracuse Crunch (AHL)
12/29 – Reassigned D Dmitry Korobov to the Syracuse Crunch (AHL)
12/31 – Reassigned F P.C. Labrie to the Syracuse Crunch (AHL)

The #TBLightning's @TJohnny09 has three goals and one assists amidst a four-game point streak.
The #Bolts own a 9-3-2 record against Western Conference Opponents, while their nine wins rank tied for first (Toronto) in the Eastern Conference.
The #TBLightning have collected points in seven of their past eight games (6-1-1) and has posted points in 11 of their past 13 overall.
