TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Sean Burke might have established himself as the Tampa Bay Lightning's No. 1 goalie.

Burke made 25 saves for his second shutout of the season, and the Lightning beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 1-0 on Saturday night.

"It's always a good feeling," Burke said. "You want to contribute, you want to be a guy your team has confidence in. When you can go out there and do the job, that's why you play."

The Lightning opted to stay with Burke, who had allowed three goals in two straight wins. He posted his 37th overall shutout. John Grahame, who has a 9-1-1 record against Pittsburgh, was the backup but will start against Florida on Sunday.

"Sean has played well at a very important time of year," Tampa Bay coach John Tortorella said. "Johnny will get a start. If we can get the two of them going, it's a good problem to have."

Burke made an in-close save on Ryan Malone during a Pittsburgh power play with 14 minutes to play.

Vincent Lecavalier scored for Tampa Bay, which has won a team-record eight consecutive home games. The defending Stanley Cup champions are tied with Montreal for seventh place in the Eastern Conference. Ninth-place Atlanta is six points back.

"It's an ugly two points, but you have to win them," Tortorella said.

Pittsburgh rookie center Sidney Crosby left after two shifts in the second period with a lower body injury. He briefly returned in the third period.

"It's not a major injury," Penguins coach Michel Therrien said. "It's day to day. We'll evaluate tomorrow. We'll find out more."

Crosby, who had his four-game goal-scoring streak end, returned to the ice with 15:37 left in the game and played five shifts.

"He came to see us after the second period and felt that he could try on the power play and we played him on the power play," Therrien said.

Crosby is the youngest NHL player to record 90 points, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. He reached the mark at the age of 18 years, 243 days, during a four-point performance in Friday night's 5-1 win at Florida. Hall of Famer Dale Hawerchuk, at the age of 18 years, 343 days, held the previous record.

Lecavalier put the Lightning ahead 1-0 on a backhander 51 seconds into the second. Vinny Prospal set up Lecavalier's 35th goal of the season on a pass from behind the net.

Tampa Bay nearly took a two-goal lead at the 6-minute mark, but Brad Richards hit the post during a Lightning power play. Richards had a 10-game point streak end. He had 16 assists and 18 points over the stretch.

Pittsburgh's Marc-Andre Fleury had 24 saves.

"Both goalies played well," Therrien said. "It was the type of game that one goal made a difference."

Notes: Don Koharski appeared in his 1,500 NHL game as a referee. He was honored before the opening faceoff. ... Lecavalier has three goals and five assists during a five-game point streak. ... Pittsburgh is 2-36-9 when its opponent scores the game's first goal. The Penguins are 0-39-9 when trailing after two periods. ... Richards has gone eight games without scoring a goal.
